Cogeneration plant EC-3 in Brzeg Dolny

This modern combined heat and power (CHP) generating plant on the factory site of PCC Rokita SA in Brzeg Dolny has been providing energy to our chemical production facilities there since 2008. Its installed rating is 70 megawatts thermal output and 15 megawatts electric power.

Gliwice terminal: Expansion and modernization

PCC’s Gliwice terminal, located some 35 kilometers from Katowice, is a fully fledged intermodal hub handling container cargos from Upper Silesia. It offers a particularly favourable location in the vicinity of two trans-European transport corridors, one being Berlin-Dresden-Wrocław-Lemberg-Kiev and the other being Gdańsk-Katowice-Sillein (Slovakia). The operating area was enlarged from 30,000 sq m to 50,000 […]

Brzeg Dolny terminal: Expansion and modernization

The terminal is located on the factory site of PCC Rokita SA in Brzeg Dolny near Wrocław and handles goods flowing into and out of the Lower Silesia region. With expansion work having been officially completed in September 2015, annual handling capacity has more than doubled from around 50,000 TEU (20-foot standard containers) to some […]

Kutno terminal: Upgrade, expansion, modernization

Today, PCC’s Kutno terminal counts among Poland’s most advanced combined transport hubs. It facilitates the fast and efficient turn-around of cargos both along east-west routes between Western and Eastern Europe, and also along the north-south axis from the Baltic ports of Gdańsk and Gdynia to the Adriatic ports of Koper and Trieste. The annual handling […]

Chlorine Production: Technology Transition

The aim in this upgrade project was to reduce energy consumption and CO2 emissions in chlorine production through the use of environmentally compatible membrane technology. The upgrade has also enabled us to increase production capacity. Membrane electrolysis plant 1 was successfully taken into service in March 2010. Then, in spring 2015, we completed the switchover […]

Chlorine production: Switch to membrane technology

Commissioning the second membrane electrolysis plant in April 2015 completed the transition of chlorine production to the modern, ecologically sound membrane technology. Using this technology enables a reduction of CO2 emissions by 140,000 tonnes annually from May 2015 onward. Having finished this investment project, we were able to comply with the EU requirement to decommission […]

PCC Rokita SA: New plant for flame retardant production

The purpose of building the plant was to increase production capacity. PCC Rokita SA is a significant producer of phosphorus-based flame retardants for PU foams in Poland. With this capability we can also, for example, improve the flameproof properties of rigid foams manufactured with our polyols.

PCC Rokita SA: New polyols joint venture in Thailand
