Sustainability and Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) are firmly anchored in our corporate philosophy. We protect the environment and climate in our business areas in chemistry, silicon and logistics, for example, by using our production facilities and products to utilize natural resources and energy ever more efficiently. Through economic, social and ecological sustainability, we secure the future of our group of companies and contribute to safeguarding the future of our environment.

PCC’s Sustainability Vision
PCC SE and the companies of the PCC Group are committed to their ecological and social responsibility. Our goal is to make a strong contribution to climate protection and sustainable development. To achieve this, we aim to halve the greenhouse gas emissions of our chemical production by 2030 compared to 2020 (Scope 1 and 2). By then, we also want to completely phase out coal in our energy production. By 2050, our group aims to be net climate-neutral.

Our Sustainability Mission Statement
PCC is an innovative and rapidly expanding group of companies with extensive investment activities. To achieve our sustainability goals, we implement all our investment projects, especially in our production, using state-of-the-art, energy and resource-saving technologies with an ever-decreasing CO₂ footprint. Furthermore, we increasingly research and develop products that meet high sustainability standards and whose use saves greenhouse gas emissions.

The companies of the PCC Group boast a wide range of validations, particularly relating to social and environmental issues – from membership of the global chemical industry initiative Responsible Care® to Gold or Silver certification status in the CSR rankings of the EcoVadis sustainability platform.
