Construction of a chlor-alkali plant in the USA

PCC plans to build and operate a chlor-alkali plant on the site of Chemours’ (NYSE: CC) titanium dioxide (TiO2) plant in DeLisle, Mississippi (USA). PCC and Chemours have entered into a chlorine supply agreement, subject to certain customary conditions precedent. The new plant will maximize energy efficiency using state-of-the-art technology and achieve an annual nominal capacity of up to 340,000 tons once the plant is operational. The by-product caustic soda will be sold by PCC to strategic partners and on the open market. Construction is scheduled to begin in early 2026, with the plant expected to start operations in 2028.
