Our new alkoxylates plant in Malaysia
In Malaysia, we have built a new plant for the production of alkoxylates (non-ionic surfactants and polyether polyols) in our 50/50 joint venture with PETRONAS Chemicals Group Berhad (PCG), which we are currently putting into operation.
With this joint venture PCG PCC Oxyalkylates Sdn. Bhd. we are expanding with core business areas into the rapidly growing chemical markets of Asia. The location is PCG’s strategically very favorable petrochemical complex in the state of Terengganu.
Plans for two production facilities in the USA
Firstly, we are planning another alkoxylates production in the USA. At the potential location in Bay City, Matagorda County, Texas, on the Gulf of Mexico, we reached a milestone on September 15, 2023 with the signing of a lease agreement for a plot of land near the port.
Secondly, we are planning to build a chlor-alkali plant on the site of the titanium dioxide (TiO2) plant of the US chemical company Chemours in DeLisle, Mississippi (USA).
